Project Rationale
Here, I am going to complete my pitch and gather feedback so then I can move forward to the next stage of production (creative and logistics for pre-production.)
To ensure my pitch was understood to the best of its capabilities, I pitched my idea to several people who didn't have any immediate problems with the pitch.
To ensure my pitch was understood properly, I did a focus group so then the feedback I gather can be more unfiltered than the surveys. So the first question I asked was 'what do you like about the pitch?' I asked this question to immediately gauge what works well with my pitch. With this, my answers ranged from 'really good ideas' to 'informative about the project' to 'matches with what the client would want.' Using this, I can see that my pitch was informative and that it had really good ideas which means I should be able to move onto the next steps of creating this product.
On the other hand, I asked the complete opposite question as I asked 'what do you not like about the pitch?' I did this to see if there were any major flaws with my pitch. With this, my core answer linked to my loose schedule as 'the schedule could've been more concrete but apart from that nothing really.' Using this, I can see that the only negative linked to my pitch is the schedule however the reason I left the schedule to be a bit loose was to ensure I wouldn't have to change major parts of it due to the fact that I haven't been able to check the weather.
Furthermore, to ensure the target audience knew what I was doing, I asked the question 'do you understand what I am doing?' I asked this to ensure my audience wasn't giving confused answers. With this, my core answer was 'yes.' Using this, I can see my pitch is easy to understand.
In addition, the last question I asked was 'do you like the project idea?' I asked this to ensure the actual product I will complete is up to standard and is the taste for my target audience. With this, my main answer was 'yes.' Using this, I can see my project idea works well with my target audience. Thus, I can move forward on creating my product.
